How To Get An Ex Boyfriend Back

So you and your boyfriend broke up. However, you still love him, or has feelings for him and now you want to get him back.

Question is, what happened to get you to this point? You need to take an honest look at what happened in the relationship. Was it something that you did or something that he did? If it was something that he did, you may want to rethink the whole thing because you need to be absolutely certain that he isn’t going to do it again. If it was something that you did then what was it that brought you to the point that a split would happen? What and where did things go wrong? Most importantly, what is going to keep it from happening again? You have to have an answer for this.

How to get an ex boyfriend back is a tough thing to do especially if he doesn’t want to come back. It may well be a short-term issue or it might be a long term one. Largely it depends on the situation. You can’t force your ex boyfriend to change his mind but you can do some things that might help influence him. Part of it comes from knowing what went wrong and why, what were the underlying causes and what were their effects. Once you understand the cause-effect relations, you are well underway to untangle the problem.

What remains is to find what can be done differently and then convincing your boyfriend that the causes can be addressed. How to get an ex boyfriend back may be a tough road to travel and the destination may be unknown but it could result in a lifetime of rewards.

The success of this strategy hinges on whether you were able to identify all the underluing causes, whether you understand the effects it had on the relationship, and whether you have a carefully structured strategy to resolve these issues.

When speaking to your ex boyfriend you need to be able to clearly explain, what is going to be done differently in future and how that will resolve the issues that gave rise to the relationship failure.

Why should he believe that things are changed or will be different? Are you changing some things? Is he? This will take more than just words and a desire to be better: it will take action. It will take effort on both your part and his. In this you must be willing to lead by example and you may have to prove that you are trustworthy in this before he will give you another chance.

The point is that if you took time and effort to untangle the cause-effect relations that resulted in the split, and if you carefully considered how to best eliminate the causes, you will be in a position to develop compelling remedies. The main reason for at least considering alternative remedies, you will be in a position to provide your ex boyfriend with compelling reasons how the two of you can resolve your differences and have a better relationship. Don't underestimate the importance of this step... restoring trust is one of the most difficult parts of restoring a relationship.

Finally, restoring a relationship requires both partners to be serious about it. If you find that after all the effort that you have done, your ex boyfriend is still not fully committed... then it is best to break the relationship and move on.

You need an ally to help you get things back together. Once you have gotten your ex boyfriend convinced that the relationship is worth working on then you will have your ally and will have found out how to get an ex boyfriend back.
